函館市街地内随一の秘湯、西桔梗温泉の敷地内、入り口の左側にある温泉取水所。
泉質は単純泉に分類されるそうだが、濁りや臭いもあり、それなりに成分は濃そうな感じ。
20度～25度程度の温泉が滾々と湧いているので、持ち帰って温泉を楽しむことも可能。その場では入浴不可。
